Rupprecht Geiger (1908-2009) was one of the leading figures in German post-war art. His oil and acrylic paintings, works on paper and screenprints are characterized by simple geometrical forms and luminescent, sensitively  modulated colors. He had a great passion for the color red, of which he said "Red is life, energy, virility, power, love, warmth, strength. With its ability to stimulate, it has a powerful function."

This collaboration supported Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), working in nearly 70 countries providing medical aid to those most in need regardless of their race, religion, or political affiliation.
