Born in Munich, Germany. She lives and works in Munich and New York.
After studying law Caro Jost began her art education in New York at the Art Students League and continues her studies at the Academie of Fine Arts in Munich with Professor Jean-Marc Bustamante, et al.
Her works are represented in museum collections, et.al. Chelsea Art Museum, New York, Colby Museum of Art, Maine, Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, München Sammlung Vass, Budapest.

The conceptual theme of her work is the recording and documentation of situations and events at populated places and locations and the transformation into another (contemporary) context. Therefore she developed her own technique in New York in 2000, called Streetprints. Since 2000, she has been making Streetprints from all over the world.
