Metamorphosis by Elli Hurst

Elli Hurst is a Munich-based graphic designer and artist.

After studying graphic design in Karlsruhe, she worked for many years as an art director for advertising agencies in Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Munich and Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Elli is a mixed media artist in every aspect. She draws, paints, creates collages and uses digital techniques. Most of her artwork reflects a strong connection with nature.

Her creative process stems from the past - rare books, old letters, antique stamps, geographical maps, family photographs and odd pieces of memorabilia. The results of her compositions are playful, occasionally serious, with hidden surprising messages.

Elli works in her atelier at the Wiede Fabrik in Munich, Germany.
